How I figured out how to design my magazine.

 When trying to figure out how to design my cover, table of contents, and double page spread. I did a lot of researching and tested out many examples I found online, plus some templates that I found available on Canva which is the website I used to design my magazine. Already knowing my topic it was difficult finding one that suited the style I was going for of sleek yet informative so I found different templates and examples and tried replicating them as well as possible with my original information and pictures.

When trying out templates I ended up only using them for my cover where I found a really good one that provided space for many images plus I had to improvise as I added my own popups and teasers so that it would check all the boxes a magazine cover needed. I didn't want my cover to be like those magazines that were overcrowded with information and instead wanted a sleek yet informative one. 

After finishing my cover I proceeded to do my double page spread where I found a really good double page spread online that matched my exact style, I then replaced all the pictures with my own and began writing all of my stories plus added some extra places to add some statistics.

For the last part was the table of contents which was a mix of a template, but with some formation of a table of contents example I found online. I mixed them together to match the rest of the magazine and replaced everything with my own to make it original.

How I use canva to create my magazine cover

 Canva, is a design website that allows people to create their own designs. This website also provides pre-made designs so that creators can innovate them and make their own. I used a design of a magazine about Earth with small details and a picture of a rhino on it. I altered it so that instead of a rhino it would be a man helping a baby elephant, and the title would be more about helping animals rather than just talking about them. Canva allows people to add multiple fonts, colors, styles, backgrounds and basically alter any type of design possible. There are infinite possibilities on what you can change a single design to be and Canva provides hundreds of various topics.  Some other things Canva includes are templates, there are elements that include arrows, text boxes, images, drawings, hundreds of small details that can really bring the magazine cover to life. My inspiration to helping animals

 It might seem silly, but wild kratts was one of the main reasons for my love for animals and care for them. Since the age of 8 I've watched almost every episode and learnt so much about animals. Seeing them rescue animals and seeing their knowledge and their work with teaching kids about animals. It inspired me to be like them in a way, where I can teach others about the importance of helping animals. Watching them since I was young influenced me to be like them and to rescue animals from bad people. Seeing the wild kratt brothers rescue animals from selfish people much like in real life, using them for clothing, foods, and to do their work, relating to real life. The brothers influenced me to be like them and to rescue these animals from evil people, and to fight against the continuation of animal harm just for the pleasure of some people.
