My journey of revising my double page spread

 When I first started making it I changed topics many times, I was debating on what to make and came up with ideas like jobs, immigration, and even the environment, but I had finally settled on animals and specifically on how animals would interact with people. I had to make 3 stories about different topics all relating to animals interacting with people so I came up with my main story which was about dogs in foster. I wanted to give the reader information with statistics and with real life animals and how they struggled to maybe even persuading them into getting a dog and saving ones life.

 For my 2nd story I decided to talk about how animals were in zoos, and how some zoos treated animals amazingly but some treated these animals horrible and cruel. I explained how these animals received care and rehabilitation as well as food, water, shelter, and etc. Then I moved to how some zoos neglect animals, and don't provide them the health or the social status they require.

For my 3rd and last story I talked about a family that took in a pair of baby squirrels and nurtured them to health. I provided quotes from them and their personal experience as well as the full story.

Finding pictures for these were difficult but I ended up being able to visit a dog shelter, and a zoo where i got the pictures. I also did research and viewed professional magazines to decide my outline for my magazine.

How I use canva to create my magazine cover

 Canva, is a design website that allows people to create their own designs. This website also provides pre-made designs so that creators can innovate them and make their own. I used a design of a magazine about Earth with small details and a picture of a rhino on it. I altered it so that instead of a rhino it would be a man helping a baby elephant, and the title would be more about helping animals rather than just talking about them. Canva allows people to add multiple fonts, colors, styles, backgrounds and basically alter any type of design possible. There are infinite possibilities on what you can change a single design to be and Canva provides hundreds of various topics.  Some other things Canva includes are templates, there are elements that include arrows, text boxes, images, drawings, hundreds of small details that can really bring the magazine cover to life. My inspiration to helping animals

 It might seem silly, but wild kratts was one of the main reasons for my love for animals and care for them. Since the age of 8 I've watched almost every episode and learnt so much about animals. Seeing them rescue animals and seeing their knowledge and their work with teaching kids about animals. It inspired me to be like them in a way, where I can teach others about the importance of helping animals. Watching them since I was young influenced me to be like them and to rescue animals from bad people. Seeing the wild kratt brothers rescue animals from selfish people much like in real life, using them for clothing, foods, and to do their work, relating to real life. The brothers influenced me to be like them and to rescue these animals from evil people, and to fight against the continuation of animal harm just for the pleasure of some people.
