Focusing on my Creative Critical Reflection on Prezi

 As I make my critical reflection, I try to focus on writing a lot of information and making the paragraphs lengthy but informative. I also try including 1 or 2 pictures per section. I've already set up what I want to write and I've completed the design of it. All I'm missing is the actual writing which is the hardest part. For the first question it says How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues?, What i had in mind for saying was that the magazine discusses the impact of humans on animals, highlighting the pros and cons of their interactions. It encourages readers to volunteer at animal shelters, health care centers, adopt, and help animals whenever possible. The magazine targets younger readers, as they can have the biggest impact. It addresses issues like mistreatment, starvation, and neglect of animals, emphasizing the need for attention. The magazine also provides a relatable story from a normal family to inspire others to help animals.

For the 2nd question: How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text? The magazine features stories from real shelters and animal rescues, discussing the importance of volunteer shelters and the need for community support. It also highlights the role of volunteers in cleaning up littered areas and fostering a clean environment for animals. The magazine also features websites and apps for hosting events and hiring volunteers.

3rd question: How did your production skills develop throughout this project? The author initially had no experience with Canva and its use, but through tutorials and learning from others, they began creating and designing a magazine. They learned to think long and precise, add information on small topics, and use editing techniques. The author also learned to design with pictures and interview people for stories. The cover, double page spread, headings, subheadings, masthead, pictures, sneak peaks, and advertisements were all crucial. The author learned to combine elements like the table of contents and color scheme, finding a color pallet that appealed to them.

and for the 4th question: How did you integrate technologies – software, hardware and online – in this project? The author used Canva, a new software, to create a magazine. They searched for suitable templates and retouched everything, except for the layout. They used their mobile phone for taking pictures and their laptop and school computer for online work. They also used online research to find inspiration for their magazine, focusing on animals and their passion for helping them. They aimed to convince readers of their point of view and change their perspective on animal treatment.
